DaMoNo - The World of Mitsuo's Daily Calendar
DaMoNo - The World of Mitsuo's Daily Calendar is an application for the iPhone/iPod touch that provides a futuristic guide presenting you with contents according to your location within the Mitsuo Aida Museum.
DaMoNo Museum Guide Overview
The museum guide rental service is currently not available in English as a new exhibit has started. Once we are able to update the contents of our application accordingly, we will announce it here.
The Mitsuo Aida Museum (located at the Tokyo International Forum B1F) has started a museum guide rental service using the iPhone/iPod touch application: DaMoNo. The guide is available in English and Japanese.
With the guide application you can browse contents related to the works presented at the 43rd Special Exhibition: The World of Mitsuo's Daily Calendar. It includes commentaries on the 24 works from the curator of the museum, Kazuhito Aida. The contents are presented to you using the intuitive and rich user interface of the iPhone/iPod touch platforms.
The application also shows you content relevant to your current location in the museum. This is possible because it incorporates PlaceEngine, a location estimation technology based on wireless LAN.

The application will enhance your experience at the museum bringing you closer to the world of Mitsuo Aida. DaMoNo also includes photos of Mitsuo Aida and the tools he used in his craft.

DaMoNo Guide Rental Period
DaMoNo will be available at the museum during the DaMoNo - The World of Mitsuo's Daily Calendar Exhibit from Oct. 20, 2009 (TUE) to Dec. 20, 2009 (SUN).
* The museum is closed Mondays (except when Monday is a national Holiday).
* We will provide new services with each new coming exhibit.
How to Rent the Guide
Please ask for DaMoNo at the museum reception.
Rental Fee: 200 Yen (Tax included)
The application runs on an iPhone/iPod touch.
There are 30 units available for rent at the museum.
* Please note that since there is a limited number of units, we may not be able to accommodate your needs.

The museum guide application is also available for purchase at the App Store.
With this application you can enjoy Mitsuo's works anywhere.

You can bring this application to the museum and it will provide the same guide features as the rental guide available at the museum. The guide features will function during the DaMoNo - The World of Mitsuo's Daily Calendar Exhibit from Oct. 20, 2009 (TUE) to Dec. 20, 2009 (SUN).
Since the DaMoNo - The World of Mitsuo's Daily Calendar Exhibit has ended we have revised the application price to 450yen. Please enjoy Mitsuo's works from the exhibit at your leisure as a digital art museum application.
The museum exhibition has changed after Dec. 21, 2009, so the guide features are not currently available.
After downloading this application, if you bring your iPhone/iPod touch to the Mitsuo Aida Museum and show the digital ticket at the entrance gate, you will be admitted into the museum free of charge. This ticket is valid during the special exhibit: "The World of Mitsuo's Daily Calendar" until: Dec. 20, 2009 (SUN). For more details, please touch the bonus icon found on the start up screen.
