PlaceEngine Indoor Positioning Solution
With the PlaceEngine Indoor Positioning Solution any venue can be tailored to support location based services by simply installing off-the-shelf wireless LAN access points. Events, expos, conferences, and forums that are held for limited runs can also be supported. Depending on the access points and conditions of the venue positioning accuracy of 3 to 5 meters can be achieved. Access points do not have to be connected to a network, simply plugging them into a power is sufficient.
With the PlaceEngine Indoor Positioning Solution, mobile terminals can be used to locate where the user is via coordinates (such as latitude and longitude), but also estimate floor information within a building.
